Disordered Eating |
Disordered eating is entrenched in the pursuit for achieving a ‘healthy’ weight, and for many women they don’t realise the potential damage they may be inflicting on their bodies, until they realise it’s too late in the yoyo dieting game.
Sadly, women across all generations are taught by society that weight is something that can be controlled by strict food rules (and obtainable exercise goals) and this is the only answer to being successful. The chase for the latest fad diet, miracle potion or detox regime has only led more women to become unhappier, unhealthier and disempowered to really understand what’s important to their personal needs. A move towards intuitive, mindful eating practices supports women to become in tune with their physical, emotional and mental messages. Challenging external rules and disordered eating thoughts provides clarity to know and trust what your body needs and grounds you to what’s absolutely necessary (and what is utter BS). |
Food & Mood |
Anxiety, depression, grief, and overwhelm can all be debilitating conditions. For others, situations from our past or anticipation about the future can cause us to be "stuck" in a certain energy or pattern.
Your diet, digestive health, toxin exposure, nutrient depletions and blood sugar control can all impact your mood and making small, achievable changes to improving the quality to restore the internal balance within your body helps to refresh and re-energise the mind. Tackling mental health needs forces from all fronts and collaborating with specialised, trained mental health professionals further compliments the effects of good nutrition. |
